This lecture will focus on ensuring the basics are correct when providing dentures. It aims to provide delegates with valuable tips, tricks and proven solutions which can be applied to everyday practice in order to improve your success and consistency with your denture patients. • How incorrect tooth choice & position affects stability, phonetics, function and aesthetics
• Processing correctly and the consequences of not paying close attention to the final stages• Carrying out checks and adjustments when fitting dentures

Mr Carl Fenwick
Starting his career in Dental Technology in 1987, Carl Fenwick qualified as a Dental Technician in 1993 while studying at Newcastle College.
After successfully running his own laboratory for nearly 20 years, he went on to graduate in Clinical Dental Technology (RCS Eng) in 2011.
He is an instructor for Ivoclar Vivadents Bio-functional Prosthetics System (B.P.S) teaching both Clinical & Technical aspects and provides hands on courses & training worldwide.
As an International Key Opinion Leader in Removable Prosthetics for Ivoclar Vivadent HQ, Schaan, he delivers both Removable and Digital prosthetics training and education to fellow dental professionals around the world including Japan, America, Canada and most recently in France.
Building on the BPS system, Carl has also completed 5 years of intensive training and mentorship in Japan, under the direct supervision of Dr Jiro Abe and his team to achieve status as an International Dr Abe Clinical and Technical S.E.M.C.D master instructor.
He is the Clinical Dental Technicians representative for the International Digital Dental Academy (IDDA) and a board member of the British Association of Clinical Dental Technology (BACDT). His priority is focusing on promoting team work, further education, personal development and advancing the quality of patient care provided by Clinical Dental Technician professionals in the UK.
Carl is an official member of the Dental Technicians Guild (DTG) and is committed to working together with fellow dental professionals to promote the importance of team work, high quality restorations and the sharing of our knowledge to improve patient treatment and care.
Today, as well as his role with Ivoclar Vivadent, he works in private practice with Dentists, Clinical Dental Technicians and Dental Technicians to provide high quality dentures and implant restorations.
