Course Objectives
1-Learn shade selection for anterior composites
2-Learn how to isolate for anterior composites
3-Learn how to restore a Class 4 fracture with composite-including margin design, layering, finishing and polishing.
4-Learn how to restore class 3 and 5 aesthetically
5.Learn about common errors with composite
6.Use of composite for space closure and full composite veneers-by case discussions
Course Content
1-Shade Taking with different methods for predictability
2-Understanding tooth shades
3-Moisture control and isolation techniques for anterior composites
4-Reproducing Anterior tooth anatomy
5-Stent fabrication and palatal shell layering technique
6-Use of tints for effects, halo and crack lines
7-Case discussions for composite to be used for composite veneers, post-ortho edge bonding and space closure-including diastemas and black triangles.
8-Practical component will include multiple Class 4 restorations, practicing stent fabrication and full class 4 build up, layering, polishing and finishing.

BDS MFDS RCPSG PG MSc
Dr Tariq Bashir graduated from the University of Glasgow Dental School in 2005 where he obtained many awards including the prestigious British Dental Association Student of the Year Award. He then went on to attain his Membership with the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) in 2007 from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow whilst completing various hospital training posts around Scotland.
